Some very nice beats mixed together with varying degrees of success - my first attempt at a CD length mix :) RealPlayer is required - sorry, I should really turn this into an mp3. Two improvements here, basic collison detection and a particle engine. Unfortunately you can't see it in this one but if I put thsoe crates back then the grenades bounds against them, and get deflected :) When they hit a player they explode instantaneously. |

This is an important one - models. I also added some basic physics and along with it some grenades you could bounce around. Only fun for so long when you're in single player mode though :) |

Added a few sounds here. This meant that when somebody connected or disconnected you would hear about it :) I also implemented jumping for network games meaning you could see your enemy jumping. You could chat too! |

Got the networking fixed in this one. Also added the option to customize your face. This meant that as long as you all had the right images on your computers, you customize your config file and everybody would see the face you chose :) Had a few fun games of Dave vs Dandan vs John while coding this one. |

The first release after the initial complete re-write. You can see where I learnt the basics of OpenGL if you recognise that texture used on those blocks.

DaveGL v0.1 This version has gone where bits go when they die. I had a completely separate network server built for a Linux or Solaris system and a Windows client. It wasn't pretty to look at and although you could see somebody moving over a network game, it was all wrong. Somehow I broke the source code so badly one day I had to start again. I also should have called it version 0.01 instead of 1.01 but it's not like this is a serious project anyhow :) |
